5 Caching

This site utilises caching to facilitate a faster response time and a better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. 7 International Transfers

Because we use service providers (Google, MailPoet, Hostinger) that may store data outside the UK/EU, personal data can be transferred to countries without an adequacy decision. Such transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards (encryption in transit and at rest).

8 Data Retention

  • Newsletter e-mails – kept until you unsubscribe; system then anonymises your address within 30 days.
  • Analytics records – IP-anonymised and retained for 14 months (GA4 standard) before automatic deletion.
  • Server logs – rotated every 90 days unless required for security investigation.

9 Your Rights

Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR you may:

  1. Access – ask for a copy of the personal data we hold.
  2. Rectify – correct inaccurate data.
  3. Erase – request deletion (“right to be forgotten”).
  4. Restrict processing.
  5. Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  6. Data portability – obtain a machine-readable export of data you provided.
  7. Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

No internet transmission is 100 % secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
